Outriders is the new 1 to 3 people cooperative shooter game happening in a world of total despair and darkness – a distant Earth-like planet Enoch. You are sent to the most dangerous planet to save humanity and fight other species while looking for a mysterious signal and getting away from Anomaly. The game was released on April, 1st 2021 by the developer People Can Fly.

Plot

Earth was in a very bad ecological shape during the mid-21st century and the world government sent the Enoch Colonization Authority (ECA) to preserve humanity on a planet Enoch located far away from Earth. Two shops are sent, though one of them, Caravel explodes, and only Flores reaches Enoch. The first humans, the elite soldiers on Enoch's orbit are called Outriders, they have to explore the planet. They find Anomaly, a deadly energy storm that can kill all the colonization participants. However, the ECA decides to silence the outriders by purging them. One of them survives and is put back into cryostasis by an ECA scientist. He awakes after 31 years and sees that the colonization mission has failed, and the deadly Anomaly is killing colonists. The outriders have to fight Insurgents, militant rebels and eliminate Altered, mutated humans with supernatural powers. The Flores ship with the colony's supplies is still in orbit, so there is a chance to survive and get away from the Anomaly.

Gameplay

• Classes: When creating your character, choose from 4 unique classes. Each of them has abilities that others don’t. For example, Trickster can manipulate time, when Pyromancer can manage fire. Devastator can unleash seismic attacks, and Technomancer can use turrets and other equipment.

• Various weapons: Use shotguns, assault rifles, firearms, and so much more. Plus, you can customize your weapons and make them even stronger. A shield will help you to protect yourself, whilst you are collecting your unique set of armors.

• Side missions: Whilst you are trying to save humanity, you can also accomplish some side missions and quests to extend your gameplay.

Duration and game modes

Outriders should take around 25-30 hours of gaming. It offers two game modes: single-player mode and multiplayer mode limited to cooperative play. In multiplayer mode, you and two other players can form a party and fight against enemies together.
