Monitor no signal: detected, problem when computer works

If your computer turns on without issue, but your computer screen is showing a No Signal message, it could be due to problems in the CMOS, RAM, VGA card, or the cable that connects your CPU to your monitor. What to do when the CPU starts but monitor displays no signal?

All components inside a computer case are susceptible to dust particles that can settle on hardware components and prevent them from working properly. Before you begin, perform an initial check of your computer's major components for excessive dust buildup.

• Check the monitor cable and VGA connector. Make sure the cable is connected correctly. Clean both components separately and check them for damage.

• Check if the graphics card resolution configuration is set correctly.
• After checking all mentioned above, you can open your computer and try checking the state of your hardware, including the graphics card and motherboard. Also clean the RAM sticks and the CMOS battery. The battery can be found attached to the motherboard and can be taken out, cleaned by lightly rubbing the component. Then take out the RAM and do the same cleaning.
