OK, so this is a desktop? If so, then while all is running, press On Screen Menu Button for the monitor. does it display anything? Is yes, then monitor good. When you first boot the machine, press and continue to press the F8 key. Does a separate menu come up? If yes, then do you have an external Graphics card, or is it On board? If you have no idea of anything I just said, then take your machine to a technician!
