I've read surely 100 threads about this now.
I using a very old laptop XP version it's connected to the Wi-Fi but will not connect to the internet at all.
I've done all these run and command things i.e. reset Winsock and resetlog.txt, changed the lan setting to detect automatically, restored internet defaults, firewall is turned off and nothing is working. Also tried Firefox and on all platforms all I get is " THE PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED"
Highly doubt there is solution but if possible please assist.

It is possible this is due to the settings in your web browser. Try this:
Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools > Internet Options
Click on the Connection Tab
Click LAN Settings
Tick Automatically detect settings
Click on OK
Restart Internet Explorer
Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools > Internet Options
Click on the Connection Tab
Click LAN Settings
Tick Automatically detect settings
Click on OK
Restart Internet Explorer
