hi,
go to My Computer and right-click on the HDD icon.
then select Explore.
this should open it.

ok, I had this problem and had no clue how to figure it out. I ended up clicking on my computer then clicking the folders tab next to search (the icons). This will open i side bow and you should be able to explore the files that way. You can open everything from there. I know this may not help you now but hopefully it will help people in the future.
