Combine WhatsApp chat history from iPhone and android phones

Hi I’m wondering if someone can please help me / explain why ... So When you search in Facebook messenger for one of your “friends” to message it comes up with “Recent Searches” which you can edit / delete o people in your recent searches and then it also has “suggested friends” which you can’t edit and I was thinking this is a list of people you usually contact or recently have contacted except for some reason in my “suggested friends” is someone I have not contacted in quite some time not on any Facebook forum, phone or other apps and they are second on my list. Why would that be?

I just updated to iOS 15 and now messenger isn't showing message previews when my phone is unlocked.

All relevant settings are ON and I have tried resetting the app and the phone as well as deleting and reinstalling>

Is anyone else having this issue?? What do I do?

I have a question for a friend's issue. My friend needs to retrieve some very important contact info contained on his old phone's WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is enabled on his current phone containing his sim card, which means that he is unable to access the WhatsApp chat logs on his old phone.

I gather that the solution would be to remove his sim card and temporarily reinsert it into his old phone in order to re-activate his WhatsApp on the old phone in order to access the records.

However, my friend wants to avoid losing his new phone's WhatsApp records and is afraid that by reactivating his old phone's WhatsApp in order to access the logs...
