Hi,

I got a laptop which is mecer z140c which my friend gave to unlock the password. When switched on, it doesn't give option to go to bios neither I can reinstall windows 10, tried booting from USB. just says enter password screen when switched on, any suggestion to remove it will be appreciated.

Hi,

It seems that the laptop asks you to enter the BIOS password. You can reset it by disconnecting the CMOS battery and reconnecting it after a few seconds. Turn off the laptop and touch a metal object to discharge static electricity before doing so.
