Hello,
My Yahoo account is 16 years old and all of a sudden I can't login. Yahoo doesn't recognize my account. I tried sending emails and it's showing account does not exist. But when trying to open a new account with that same ID then it shows that you can't use this ID to open new account. Called Yahoo technical support and they also can't find my account in their system. What is going on?

Yahoo used to delete the account after 90 days of inactivity but now it updated the tenure up to 365 days. So, you need to contact Yahoo support regarding the same.

However, before doing this make sure that you entered the correct login credentials. You can also try to restore access to your yahoo account using a backup email address or recovery phone no.

To do this just visit https://login.yahoo.com/account/challenge/session-expired?authMechanism=secondary&done=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.yahoo.com%2F. It will provide a confirmation code to your backup email address or phone no.

How do I recover my Yahoo email account?

- Go to the Yahoo account recovery page.
- Enter your Yahoo mail address in the Email address or phone number field, then select Continue.
- Select a verification method (Text or Email).
- Enter the verification code you received by text or email message.

Regards,
