Hi,
Have you tried with another phone as it seems that you can't post stories from yours? If the issue persists with the app, try posting your Instagram stories from your PC.

Yes, and it worked, thanks a bunch! But how is that possible, do I need a new phone?

Great! I don't think you need to change your phone - just make sure everything is up to date.
I think it's either a temporary issue with Instagram itself or an improper configuration of your phone - an app or a setting that interferes with Instagram.
Check your apps and try resetting your phone's settings to their default value to see if that helps. Otherwise, wait for future updates of Instagram.
