Freeze on Internet in Weird pattern

Hello,
I just bought a Emachine about a month ago and it freezes in a stripped pattern after I am on the Internet for 15-30 minutes. I only installed a couple of small programs. Could it be the Rangeplus Network wireless adapter that i am using. I just wanted this computer for surfing the internet and it's kinda useless at this point.

When it freezes i just have to hold in the on/off button and restart.

Can you please provide more information about your computer settings.



It might be a virus , or a spyware make sure to have an update antivirus on your computer.


If your computer freeze this is not a connection problem but a software problem .

Hi Deepbreath

My Emachine is brand new. It is ET1161 series. It has 3GB of Ram so should be able to handle Vista. I called Emachines and they told me to reformat the computer and re-install the original software and still have the problem. I have an updated Antivirus Program on it which I activated before I went on the Internet.
