Sharing internet

Hello,
i have a desktop and a Dell laptop and i am running internet on my laptop using wired netwok with a modem.
i want to run internet on my desktop using RJ45 male to USB cable (9400127B cable) with RJ45 male in my desktop and USB in my laptop.
can anyone guide me how to do it.

Hi,


For internet sharing you must use a cross cable ,

Once the two computers is connected make sure to configurate the Ip manually.


Then follow below steps :
Click start - my networkplaces


Select on the left TAB : Setup a home or small office Network

Just follow the wizard :)

i am using a cable whose one end is having RJ45 male and other end is a USB .
RJ45 for my nic card and USB for my laptop from whom i have share the internet.
I know how to do internet sharing using a cross cable .
