sounds like my monitor.. I don't think the problem lies in your computer.. it has to do with the monitor detecting the signal from the computer.. If it's like my monitor you can turn off the monitor from the back, with the switch and turn it back on.. Should detect it..
Also do you have other devices that are running and plugged into this too?
