Here is what happened : After installing a list of windows updates ... Vista goes into an endless restarting loop. I've tried rebooting from Vista Recovery CD but restoring fails !!!!! Any ideas ??

Hello there,

You just have to use System Restore,

To do this, please logged on Safe mode, Press F8 when your computer starts,

Then click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools

Open System Restore

Then select a restore point then press Next,

This will solve the problem

Thanks

1. Insert your Vista Media into your dirve and boot from it.
2. Select "Repair your Computer" from the list.
3. Select "Command Prompt" from the recovery choices.
4. At the command prompt type C:
5. Type cd Windows\WinSxS
6. Type del pending.xml
7. Exit and reboot

Simpler fix, no data loss from restore point use.
