Labtop Won't Load Webpages!

Hello,
I have a Compact Presario and I installed a software update. But, when I load Internet Explorer it says "Internet Explorer can not display webpage." I checked all my internet connection but, it says it's connected. Please Help.

P.S. Software is Windows Vista.
