Hello,

I've had this problem with several 16GB USB disks of different makes. After trying to format them in FAT32, windows gets about half way through the process and then says that it was unable to complete the formatting process. When I try to plug them in again (both on this computer and my windows XP laptop) windows tries to install drivers for it and does not succeed. The only place the USB keys show up on the system is in device manager as an unknown device.

Any ideas on how to solve this? I'm tired of loosing perfectly good USB drives :-(

I can't open my USB.

Already tried that. The programme doesn't recognise a USB device in the first place so it's no use.

Any other ideas?
