Touchpad problems

Hello,
I have Dell Inspiron/2200 Windows XP. I just starting have problems with the touchpad. It moves fine but it will not click on items. How can I fix this? Thanks for your help.

This is actually a hardware problem and you will have to send the phone

for repair.
