Internet connection doesnt work

Hello,
I have problem with my Windows xp portege r100 with my internet connection. i already check in my device manager and everything is update.
and i can see the other people the connection name internet but i couldnt find mine. Do you know whats wrong?

hi there,

open run>

typecmd>

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

also check your connection cable
