Dear Sajan,
Actually if you have installed a new operating system, you will definitely have to get the sound driver updated for it is not compatible. The problem is just with the audio driver.
The instructions for updating your driver is simple. First get to the Sound, Video, and Games controllers in COntrol Panel. Please access to it through this path: Start> Control Panel> System> Hardware tab> Device Manager. As soon as you have reached the Sound, Video, Game Controllers, please open the sound drive and get to the Driver tab.
The next step is clear and simple, just click on Update Driver Software.
This task will have the problem that you are experiencing settled up.
