Dropping Internet Connection

Hello,
My Internet connection drops when on mains power
When on battery the network card is deactivated & connection is good
System Win XP Router Linksys WAG 160N
Would appreciate any help

Hi thanks for your reply but it's OK know not 100% sure exactly what I have done to achieve it but have be fiddling with connection settings all day.
