I cannot connect to the Internet

Hello,
I have a gateway laptop with windows vista and I can not access the internet in any way. My computer says its connected and that there is excellent signal strength but everytime I try and access the internet it says that the internet cannot display this webpage. I am confused and not very good with computers.


Help please!

Does it says that you are connected to both Internet and Local ?. On times I would be only connected to local and not to internet
