Computer stops showing images after Booting

Hello,
My computer will power on and get to the windows loading screen, and the monitor will go blank. I have been using this monitor/computer together for about 2 years, and this problem just started this week. It seems that if i power the computer down and restart it it will sometimes work as intended, however a majority of the time it will show the symptoms described above. I have tried the basics, updating drivers, blowing out computer but the problem seems to get getting worse.
