Seagate Drive not recognized by Toshiba M405 Closed

Question

Hello,

I replaced my internal hard drive with a Seagate Momentus 500 GB in my
Toshiba Portege M405 S8003. I was trying a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit)
but the Toshiba Portege does not recognize the new hard drive. I updated the BIOS to
version 3.8 without success.

Please help!! Thanks a bunch.

What was the size of previous hard drive in the laptop as well as the operating system in use on it?Please give more information before suggesting you any solution.
