Connecting to the Internet
Closed
Hello,
Ive just successfully re-installed windows xp (pro). The only additional software download was for my sound card and NETGEAR wireless USB adaptor. Both have been installed successfully. The Wireless adaptor shows connected and has good signal. However I still can't connect to the internet, I haven't changed any LAN or network settings after installation.
Please advise.
Many thanks

DEAR FRIEND
The problem might be a modem, check it that it is placed correctly or try to replace it with onather one if it is possible ,if not
try to connect to the same computer you are using to see weather problem lies on it, if this thing don't help check the Ip Address of your LAN, if it doesn't work check all connections of your cables,If it doesn't work you have to start all over again it might happen that your operating system failed to locate internet service.
