I have wifi connection but no internet

i have had so many problems with my internet connection that i dont know what do...
Firstly: i tried to use ping command, it doesnt works!, (ping www.google.com)it didnt appears an answer ¬¬
2:aparently in the taskbar appears that i have wifi
3: i can play videogames in LAN
4: the pc name appears in the DHCP client list on my router...
my router is: Belkin 54g
My OS: Windows Xp Service Pack 3

Dear Sir,

The problem might be coming from your firewall. Please deactivate it and see whether the task can be completed.

i dont think that the problem come from the firewall.. but... which is what i have to do? (with the firewall)
..i only have this problem with the wi-fi..
I dont have problem with the ethernet cable
