Facing problem in Internet connection

Hello,

I am using a Dell laptop with Windows XP in it. Recently I took Airtel broadband internet connection in it. But I am facing some problem in connecting to the internet.

The executive who came to configure the settings in my laptop told me that internet is connected, but when he is trying to open the page it says "Internet explorer could not open the search page".

When we try to ping the IP adress it sents and receives package, but when we try to open a webpage it "Losts".

We are unable to find the source of problem.

Please help.

I think you need to do manual IP settings and DNs all.
try it out ;)
