Not able to load antivirus

Hello,
i have downloaded and installed an antivirus on my pc. but once i reboot it , it fails to load.the icon appears on the right bottom of my screen and once i pass the mouse pointer over it, it simply disappears. have tried installing zone alarm and kaspersky with no avail. norton fails to even autorun from the cd. i have xp sp2 as my os.



any advice or help will be greatly apreciated.

Looks like you have a virus that is preventing you from starting these programs.

Boot Windows into "safe mode" by hitting F8 (multiple times) while it is booting. Try to run your antivirus programs from safe mode (note - safe mode is slow to load )
