My Gateway Has no Sound and the Mic isnt work Solved/Closed

Hello, m
I have a GateWay M-series Notebook, with windows Vista service pack 2. I gave my Laptop to My cousin to remove a virus that i had. the virus was removed but I believe he deleted something That deals with The sound and Mic. He doesnt know what to do and Neither do I. I have Searched for Months and trying to get my sound Back and have not Been successful. Can Somebody Please Help Me or Guide me Through This.

Hi, 

First check the volume controller in audio options.

Try reinstalling your audio drivers. You can download the drivers from the  

manufacture website. Just click on this link. 

https://www.gateway.com/worldwide/support/?Tab=All 

Select your product type, model number, OS. 

Download the audio drivers and install it.
