Hello,

my sony vaio laptop will only start up in safe mode, starting it normally shows the icons but when i try to go to any of the programmes it just shows the egg timer....i am not a techy person, i just use computers, i have no knowledge of the technical stuff so need idiot proof help!!!

safe mode is last tools to repair computer. try to go on safe mode and to apply system recovery and install antivirous and up date and scan. if not work formate c drive and instal operating system thanks
