No sound in my laptop speakers Closed

Hello, 
I connected a 5.1 speaker system-logitech z5500 to a fujitsu siemens amilo p laptop via optical cable,working fine,but eversince i don't have any sound in my laptop speakers.All settings seem ok.I also have sound through headphones,although the system doesn't show anything about this.And there's a red light into the spdif out jack.I reinstalled my os windows vista home,but nothing changed.Any suggestions,please?


Configuration: Windows Vista / Opera 9.80

Dear Lorimer, 

Firstly get to the Device Manager and see whether the sound driver needs to be updated. Otherwise, get to the Sound and Audio Properties in the Control Panel and from the Advanced Speaker Settings, adjust the speakers correctly for proper functioning.
