Did you format the hard drive on the Mac? Windows can't read files from a Mac formatted disk. Drives formatted in FAT32 can be used by both Windows and Mac computers. Windows XP will not format drives greater than 32 GB - Vista and Windows 7 can format larger drives. There are also 3rd party programs that will form large drives and programs to modify Windows to read Mac drives. Use Google to find them.
