TOSHIBA L500 Satellite

Hello,
i have a Toshiba L500 Satellite with windows 7
My computer turns on but it doesn't make it to log on screen it just comes up with a flashing line on the top left corner of the screen
HELP PLEASE!!!!

Do you mean a blinking cursor? This sounds like a hardware issue you may have a bad hard drive. Did you try to hit F8 multiple times during the boot or boot into the BIOS?

nah it was a flashing line like ( - ). i think i had a virus but i cant get into my computer to do a virus scan

Hi there,

Are all drivers installed properly?check in device manager as well as your refresh rate in display properties which needs to be 60 hertz.
