I am building my first computer, so my knowledge is mediocre at best. Here is the hardware I purchased:
MB: ASUS P6X58D-E X58 R
Video Card: VGA EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR 9800GTX RT
PS: PSU ANTEC|EA750 750W RT
OS: Windows 7 Home Ultimate 64-bit
Here is the problem I am having. I loaded Windows, and when rebooted (from the hard-drive, not the CD-ROM), when Windows starts to load, the Video Card stops. I can work in the BIOS without problem, but as soon as the OS starts to load, the screen goes blank. My MB does not have on-board video, does anyone have any suggestions, or has anyone encountered this? I looked all through the BIOS and there aren't any video-related menus. Thanks for any and all help!!

I would try to boot into "safe mode" - hit F8 multiple times after you turn on the PC.
I suspect a video driver problem. Set the resolution to 800x600 and then try a regular boot. If this works I would then try to install the video card drivers from its CD.
Good Luck
