Can't see my usb external drive Closed

Hello, 
I have been using the same external drive for the past year, on my laptop, now it is not shown in my computer. It doesn't show in device manager or disk management from right  clicking my computer, not showing anywhere. I connected it to my desktop, and it was there straight away, so the drive itself is in working order. I can only think it is the driver for the drive, but how can i instal a driver for something that isn't recognised?
Any help is much appreciated.


Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.8

Hi there,

Get in device manager of the system from which its not being recognized and update the drivers and reinstall the missing one,also try connecting to other usb ports available on system then connect the external drive,
