Unable to access external harddrive Solved/Closed

Hello, 


i have a lot of data in my external hard drive (transcend 320 GB). for some reason i am not able to view the data. when i click on the drive it gives an error " the disk is not formatted. do you want to format now". what do i do so as to recover my data. also the file type is now showing as RAW. 

can you pls advise

Hello,  

Try this 1.  

 If the "File System" is RAW, then may be partition got damaged or corrupted.  

Click on the below link and download the file.

Select the option "Damaged Partition Recovery". It will recover the data from the  

damaged partition.
