Hello,

when i turn on my pc i hear everything running but the monitor has no signal. I unplugged it and held the button for 30 seconds and that fixed the original problem and it seemed to be going well but then when the windows xp loading screen came on the monitor switched off to say no signal. I have no idea what the problem is!! please help! thank you.

Greetings Ben,

The first part of the diagnostic is to determine if the problem comes from your monitor or from your graphic card or your cable connection.

First check your cable connection.

If possible, try to borrow a monitor which is in good working order to plug in your CPU. If you experience the same problem, the problem may come from your graphic/video card which may need to be cleaned or replaced.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply,
I tried another monitor and its the same thing. It will work up until the windows xp screen comes on and then the monitor turns off. the computer itself still makes noises but nothing id displaed on the screen.
