ipod touch battery, possibly dead? Closed

Hello, 
 my itouch doesnt want to start it doesnt even go to the home screen when i charge it, ive had it for a year, is the battery dead? 
i charged it once for a while and like 20 minutes later it dies and it does the same thing all over again please helpp

Hi,

As mentioned that after giving charge to it then in 20 minutes its off seems to be the battery,get this replaced in an electronic shop.
