slow internet, very poorClosed

Question

Hello, 
Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server could not be found


Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 533.1
I m using tata photon whiz,but its network is too slow whenever i wnt to open orkut the above error occurs and sometimes if it opens it takes more than 5-8 min.
and i am getting 5-10 kbps whereas, my modem should give 153 kbps
please help

hello if your internet is slow i can offer you to firefox if you use that than you can email me and i can give you more ideas

Hello, 

Try this 1 

1) Click on Start --> Run --> Type cmd and press Enter. "Command Prompt" 

will be opened. Enter the below command 

ipconfig /flushdns   --> Press Enter. 

Now try to open the orkut. If the problem still exits go to next step. 

2) Click on Start --> Run --> Type services.msc  

Now search for DNS Client --> Right click on it and select "Stop" 

Now try opening the orkut site.

3) If the problem still exists, click on Start --> Run --> Type ncpa.cpl and press  

Enter. "Network Connections" window will be opened. 

Right-click on "Local area connection" ---> Select "Properties" ---> Scroll down and 

double click on "Internet Protocol[TCP/IP]" .  

Select the option "Use the following DNS server addresses"  

Now enter the following addresses  

Preferred DNS Server : 8.8.8.8 

Alternate DNS Server : 8.8.4.4 

Now try to open the orkut site
