WINDOWS VISTA isn't recognized my harddriveClosed

Hello, 
 My computer isn't recognizing my SimpleTech Portable hard drive. I have many pictures and important documents on it that I am not able to lose. Just yesterday when I went to pull up some pictures it isn't being recognized. I tried restarting my computer, and plugging it in on my laptop. Please help!

you should transfer all your pictures on a differnt hard drive if this dosnt work take it to a pc repair shop something like that
