Problems adding devices

Hello,


When my computer boots up it tries to re-install existing devices (monitor, external keyboard, mouse), and fails. Also, I cannot add any external USB drives to my machine. When I boot into single user mode, my machine works as expected and do not experience any of these problems.


What can be the cause, and how do I go about diagnosing this situation


My machine is a Dell Latitude D630 running Windows XP SP2

hi,
i think you should update your drivers.
this should fix this problem.
or you may update your windows.
