Hello,
I was having a STOP (blue screen) error at Win XP start up, and so I scheduled a CHKDSK for next start. Now that is all the computer will do, even in safe mode. It runs the check, tries to reboot and repeats the check; on and on. Suggestions on how to deal with the situation will be much appreciated.

This is a sure sign that the hard disk has failed. It's time to replace it.
Good Luck
