Reinstalling a Linksys router

Hello,

I had a LINKSYS WRT54G wireless router connected to my HP desktop. The HP desktop died so I bought a new Gateway desktop. The wireless connection continues to work but I don't have any control over the router. What do I need to do to control the router through the new Gateway desktop? Install the software that came with the router when I bought it?

The old HP ran Windows Xp and the new Gateway runs Window 7.

I would download new Win 7 software from the Linksys support web page. Once you set-up a wi-fi password there is little you need to do on the router. The only thing you might need to do is open ports for gaming.
