My monitor will not power on after turning on Solved/Closed

Question

Hi all  

Have read through all the help regarding monitor not powering up, my problem relates to most of them, but I have a deeper problem in that a red light lights up on my PC tower just below start button and next to a smaller push button. 

Showing on the monitor is - NO INPUT SIGNAL - then - MONITOR GOING TO SLEEP - then the screen goes black. 

Also, 3 beeps are heard then they stop for about 30 seconds then 3 beeps again, this will continue until I power off PC.  

Reading your help regarding beeps  I am afraid that my mother board may be shot, can anyone confirm this.

Hello, 

Try this 1 

If you notice that your CPU fan is running but there is no display in the screen, 

then remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try 

another slot. Check your RAM also. Even bad RAM will result in display problem.

Hey, all to easy, I did what you suggested about removing ram and cleaning, I also used another ram jack and all is good.
