Hello,
Well it was worth a try before I made sure of my diagnostic. I am pretty sure that your motherboard is fried.
Sorry

Hi again,
I am curious as to the history of your issue.
It was working fine and then you get this hardware problem. Something must have happened in between. I suggest that you jog your memory and tell all about the saga you are experiencing.
I could, like a physician, ask you 99 questions, but in the end, my questions may get personal and you may not like that as you may come to think that I work for the police.
Trying to help
Regards

My wife went to use the computer and it was working fine. Then next day she went to use the computer and it did not start up nothing. There has been no history of this problem ever it just came out of the blue. I know you are trying to help and i am very thankful for it.

This seems like a Canadian problem, most likely in Ontario, always a little more complicated then elsewhere.
Here is what I found:
This issue has been resolved with a BIOS update, but to get the computer to power on, follow the steps below:
1. Remove the battery, attach the AC-adapter and power the computer on.
2. Reinsert the battery and let the battery charge to at least 50%.
3. Boot
4. Update the computer's BIOS to the latest version.

Hi,
The only last thing left on my mind is that there is an electronic circuit failure problem which may have happened after a power surge other than with the mummy board or HD.
I would love to hear what a qualified hands-on technician would say after his inspection.

I have replaced the motherboard, and burned the newest bios to cd, changed bios to boot from cd, and it goes to start linux, as soon as the fan kicks in, the laptop shuts off. No battery installed. I have had a cooling mat under it for a half an hour. Still will power off when fan kicks on, replaced fan with new one, same indication.
