Hello,

I am trying to fix the sound on my computer (Gigabyte Technology is the brand). I tried everything I found on the other threads, but nothing seems to work for me. I tried the following: reinstalling my driver, restarting the windows audio service, plugging different sound devices in, plugging the sound device in different audio ports, cleaning the sound card. Nothing seemed to work. I have a pc with Windows XP service pack 2. I can't install new service packs, as my computer shows me a warning that my windows version might be unoriginal.

Thanks in advance,

Mathijsvand

Greetings,

I suspect that installing service pack 3 might be of significant help. However, since your Windows is not genuine, there is not much you can do.

If you look in the "How to" section of this forum, you will find ways to remove the warning.

Good luck
