Hi all of a sudden my toshiba laptop which is 18 months old refused to boot. The computer takes a very long time to load staying for long periods on a black screen before going to the starting windows page. After this it produces an error page giving the option of starting normally or going to repair. After a long period it then produces another page that says error of
An unexpected I/O error has occurred.
Status: 0xc00000e9
saying there is an error with removable drive, which it doesn't have, or CD player.
Any ideas on how to fix it? I can't get to a start up page or download anything.

Hello,

Try this 1

1) First make sure that your hard drive and the RAM are firmly connected.

2) Check the manufacture of your hard drive. Then go to your hard drive

manufacture's website and download the HDD testing tool. Perform the

SMART test on your hard drive and make sure that there is nothing wrong with

your hard drive.

OR

Let us know your hard drive manufacture's name.

Good Luck
