Unable to connect to the internet

Thank for accepting and to be as one new register member. I hope I'll learn a lot through the process.
My question ? I have Acer computer, model veriton s460.Initially this computer was using open office, and in some instance, I change and using windows 7.Now the problem is that, I can't log into the internet though Iam connected to internet. I know my device that appear yellow was the Ethernet controller and others, but Iam indeed, really in need to connect my computer again to internet. Please help me
