Toshiba satellite a215-s4697 won't start Solved/Closed

Question

My computer is 5 years old. Haven't had problems. Last night I installed the automatic updates which then shuts down the computer. In the morning I tried turning it on it sounds like normal lights come on c.d. drive makes the normal noise, but it never goes past a black screen. You can then just hear the fan going but that's it. This has happened before but shutting if off and on again worked doesn't help now. I have tried the battery thing suggested on other questions with no luck. Please help!! Thanks in advanced

Try this 1

1) Try the below solution once again.

Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power button for

60 seconds --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and

later put the battery back into the laptop.

2) If the problem still exists then click on the below link and follow the instructions
