Hello,
Try this 1
If you are using PATA hard drive and using the same IDE data cable to connect
the hard drive and CD\DVD drive then make sure that your hard drive is set to
Master and the drive as Slave using jumpers. You can find the jumper settings on
your hard drive\DVD drive.

My hard drive is already set to master n dvd drive as slave bt still both dnt get detected at a same tym if one of the drive's supply is removed then the other drives gets detected....bt both nt at same tym....

Try this 1
If you are using same IDE cable for both, then get an another IDE cable and try connecting the hard drive \ DVD-Drive to another IDE Slot on the motherboard. Also try connecting another molex power connector to your hard drive \ DVD-Drive.

Hello,
Another ide slot is not available fr motherboard...have nly 2 slots one is fr hdd o dvd n the another is for floppy though the foppy drive is not available....

Set the jumpers both in hard drive and DVD drive in cable select mode. Now check which one is being detected.
