My dell inspiron wont turn on

my dell inspiron N4020 is not turning on, power light is on, cd rom is spinning, but the hadr drive light wont turn on, and also beeping

Is the beeping consecutive?

I suspect the memory could be faulty.

turn the laptop over and remove the screws to show the memory modules.

If you have 2 or more try taking one out to see if it boots then.
