Dell Inspiron 1525 battery not charging

New to this forum so I am not sure what to do. I, like many others have had the "battery not charging" problem. After many web searches and applying many suggested fixes, the solution for me was to install a new power jack component. No problems after that. But, the install required that I had to disassemble most of the laptop and remove the motherboard to get to the power jack component.

Thanks for the information. The power jack is a weak link on most laptops. Sometimes it needs replacement other times it can simply be re-soldered.
